Data and AI

Store Steward has its own database tables for proposals, snapshots, the activity log, review triage and price history. It does not track you and sends nothing to Technoleet.

When AI is used, Store Steward sends review text and product details to the provider you connected in Settings, Connectors. Before sending, it removes names, email addresses, phone numbers, links and order numbers, replacing them with placeholders. The provider is your processor under your own agreement; Store Steward is not. Activity log entries for AI calls contain the purpose and result, not the prompt.

Customer email addresses can sit in a proposal’s plan and evidence (for example a win-back coupon restricted to those customers). They are redacted 30 days after a proposal is rejected, expires, fails or is reverted. Applied proposals keep them, because they can still be reverted. Store Steward also registers a WordPress personal data exporter and eraser (Tools, Export Personal Data and Erase Personal Data). Erasing an email redacts it everywhere it appears and expires any pending proposal that named it.

Review text is treated as untrusted. Instructions hidden in a review are ignored, and the AI output only ever becomes a proposal that a person reviews.

Street addresses are not detected, and free text may still contain other personal details. Mention your AI provider in your privacy policy.
