Connect an AI provider
Store Steward does not store AI keys and has no AI credits. It uses the provider you connect for the whole site.
- Go to Settings, Connectors in wp-admin.
- Add a key for OpenAI, Anthropic or Google.
- Return to WooCommerce, Store Steward, Settings. Make sure “Use AI to draft proposals and replies” is ticked.
If no provider is connected, or AI is switched off, Store Steward shows that AI is unavailable and still gives you its rule-based results: margin simulations, coupon audits, abuse checks and review signals.
You pay your AI provider directly. Starting with a small, inexpensive model is usually enough for review triage and reply drafts.
