Expose abilities to agents
Abilities are not offered to MCP clients by default. To turn them on, go to Settings, AI agents (MCP) and tick “Expose read-only abilities to AI agents through MCP”. This marks the abilities as public for the WordPress MCP Adapter.
The setting is read when the abilities are registered. Reload an admin page after saving it.
Create a separate WordPress user with only the access an agent needs, and connect the agent with an application password.
