Requirements
SmartCouponX runs on any standard WordPress host that runs WooCommerce. The analytics reports use MySQL JSON functions, so the database version matters.
| Requirement | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| WordPress | 6.5 | Latest release (tested up to 7.1) |
| WooCommerce | 6.0 | Latest release (tested up to 11.0) |
| PHP | 7.4 | 8.1 or newer |
| MySQL | 5.7 | 8.0 |
| MariaDB | 10.2 | 10.6 or newer |
| License | A SmartCouponX license key from technoleet.dev | – |
Other things to have in place:
- WooCommerce must be active. The plugin declares WooCommerce as a required plugin and shows an admin notice until WooCommerce is running. The license screen still works without WooCommerce (it moves to Settings > SCX License).
- WP-Cron (or a real cron job) must run. Birthday coupons and the daily analytics clean-up run from the
smartcouponx_daily_maintenancescheduled event. - Outgoing email must work. Every coupon is delivered with
wp_mail(). If your host does not send mail reliably, install an SMTP plugin (see Email Settings).
On MySQL older than 5.7 or MariaDB older than 10.2 the SCX Analytics page fails with a database error because JSON_EXTRACT() is not available. Coupons are still issued; only the reports are affected.
