Privacy & Personal Data

What Pro stores about people#

DataWhereWhen
Reviewer city and countryComment meta revnextwoopro_location on the reviewOnly when the reviewer ticked the location checkbox
Hashed visitor fingerprint for the view counterA transient that expires after 24 hoursOn each counted product page view; never linked to an account or order

Nothing else about visitors is stored, and nothing is shared with third parties by your server.

Privacy policy text#

Under Settings > Privacy > Policy Guide you will find a Review Next Pro section with suggested wording for both the reviewer location and the view counter. Copy it into your privacy policy and adjust it to match how you use the features.

Export and erase requests#

Pro registers a personal-data exporter and eraser named Review Next Pro — reviewer location. When you process a request under Tools > Export Personal Data or Tools > Erase Personal Data for a customer’s email address:

  • the export includes each review by that email that has a location, with the product, review date, city and country;
  • the eraser removes the stored city and country from those reviews. The reviews themselves are left in place (WordPress core’s own comment eraser handles them).

Uninstalling#

Deleting Pro from the Plugins screen removes its settings, analytics caches, view-counter transients, the per-product view counts and all stored reviewer locations. The free plugin and its reviews are untouched. Deactivating (without deleting) keeps everything.
