Chat History, privacy and logs

Every conversation is stored on your own site. Nothing is kept on technoleet.dev or anywhere else.

Chat History screen#

LeetCart AI → Chat History lists conversations newest first, 20 per page, with the Date, Customer (the WordPress user if they were logged in, otherwise a guest), a Summary (the first shopper message), the number of Messages, whether Products were shown, and View / Delete actions.

View opens the full conversation: each message marked Customer or AI Assistant, the time, the tokens used by the reply and a “Products shown” tag where cards were displayed. Provider errors are recorded here too (as “Error: …” messages) so you can see what went wrong, while the shopper only saw a generic apology.

Delete removes the whole conversation after a confirmation.

Export CSV downloads every conversation with all its messages as swpr-chat-history-YYYY-MM-DD.csv, ready for a spreadsheet.

What is stored#

The plugin keeps one table, wp_swpr_chat_logs, with: the session ID, the WordPress user ID (0 for guests), the message text, who sent it (user or bot), tokens used, whether products were shown, and the time. No IP addresses, names or email addresses are stored in the log.

For rate limiting a hash of the visitor’s IP address is kept in a temporary cache for one minute.

What is sent to the AI provider#

Each shopper message triggers one request to the provider you chose, containing:

  • the shopper’s message and up to five earlier messages of the same conversation;
  • the system prompt: your store name, currency, the instructions and policies from AI Persona, and the colour and size options of your products so the AI can filter by them;
  • your API key;
  • for OpenRouter only, your site URL and name, which OpenRouter uses to identify the calling app.

Shopper names, email addresses, IP addresses and order details are never sent to the AI provider.

Privacy policy text#

The plugin adds a suggested paragraph under Settings → Privacy → Policy Guide describing the above. Copy it into your privacy policy and adjust it to your store.

Automatic cleanup#

A daily background event can delete messages older than a number of days. It is off by default (nothing is ever deleted unless you ask). Turn it on with the swpr_chat_log_retention_days filter described under Developer Hooks.

Uninstalling#

Deactivating the plugin keeps all data. Deleting it from the Plugins screen removes the settings, the API key saved in the settings (not a wp-config.php constant) and the chat log table. Export the CSV first if you want to keep the conversations.
