Exports
Every audit, current or from History, can be exported from the Report tab.
| Format | Button | Contents | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| JSON | Export JSON | The whole audit: environment, active plugin versions, every ability record, the full role matrix and all findings. | Archiving, diffing between environments, feeding other tools. |
| CSV | Export CSV | One row per finding: severity, rule, ability, label, owner, message, fix, docs link and fingerprint. | Spreadsheets and ticket trackers. |
| Print view | Print view | A standalone page for clients: summary, findings grouped by severity with explanations and fixes, the role matrix and the inventory. Opens in a new tab. | Printing or saving as PDF with your browser’s print dialog. |
File names#
Downloads are named ability-audit-<host>-<YYYYMMDD-HHMMSS>.<ext>, for example ability-audit-example-com-20261029-101500.csv, so exports from different sites and dates never overwrite each other.
CSV safety#
Cells that start with =, +, - or @ are escaped so they cannot run as spreadsheet formulas. The file starts with a UTF-8 BOM so Excel reads accented characters correctly.
Exporting from the command line#
wp ability-audit run --format=json and --format=csv print the same content to standard output. See WP-CLI Command.
