FAQ

Where do I get a license key?#

Buy the plugin at technoleet.dev. The key is shown after checkout and under License keys in your account dashboard.

Does the plugin work without a license key?#

The button and modal work for your shoppers whether or not a key is entered. The key is what unlocks plugin updates and support, so activate it as soon as the plugin is installed.

How do updates work?#

While your license is active, updates are offered by WordPress exactly like any other plugin update, delivered from technoleet.dev. When the license expires, the installed version keeps working, but no further updates are offered until you renew.

Can I use one key on a staging site?#

Yes. The license can be activated on local and staging sites as well as production. Each activation counts towards the number of sites in your plan; deactivate the key under WooCommerce → Quick View License before you retire a site.

Which product types are supported?#

All product types can be previewed. The add to cart form inside the modal supports simple, variable and grouped products; external products show their “Buy” button linking to the vendor. Products that cannot be bought show WooCommerce’s stock message instead of a button.

Does the modal show variation images?#

Yes. When a shopper selects a variation that has its own image, the gallery switches to it; clearing the selection restores the first image.

Does it work with the Product Collection block?#

Yes. The button is added to the Product Button block inside the Product Collection block, and inside the older WooCommerce product grid blocks.

Can I show the button only on some pages or products?#

There is no setting for this. Developers can return false from the ankpqv_show_button filter for the products or pages where the button should not appear; see Filters and hooks.

Can I style the button or the modal?#

Yes. The button uses the ankpqv-quick-view class and the modal uses the ankpqv-modal class, and the modal’s colours follow your theme’s Base and Contrast colour presets. See Styling the button and modal.

Does it work with full-page caching?#

Yes. Listings contain no nonces, so cached pages keep working; the product details are fetched on demand when the button is clicked.

Does it slow down my shop?#

No. Assets are loaded only on pages with product listings, nothing is preloaded, and the product is fetched only when a shopper clicks. See Performance notes.

Is it accessible?#

Yes. The modal is a native dialog, thumbnails are buttons with labels, Escape closes the modal and focus returns to the button that opened it. If JavaScript is unavailable, the button links to the product page.

Can I translate the plugin?#

Yes. A .pot template is included in the plugin’s languages/ folder. Place your .po/.mo files there, named product-quick-view-for-woocommerce-{locale}, and they load automatically. The button text itself can be changed directly in the settings.

Privacy and external services#

The plugin makes no outbound requests except license checks and updates. When you activate, deactivate or re-check a license, and when WordPress checks for plugin updates, the plugin contacts technoleet.dev (operated by Technoleet) with the license key, the site URL, the plugin version and basic environment details (WordPress and PHP versions). No usage statistics are collected and no promotional content is loaded. The plugin stores one option and sets no cookies.
