Theme compatibility
The plugin is designed to work with both kinds of WordPress theme without any configuration.
Block themes#
On block themes (Twenty Twenty-Four, Twenty Twenty-Five and other themes built with Site Editor templates), the shop and archive templates usually use the Product Collection block. The quick view button is added inside the Product Button block of every product in the collection, before or after the add to cart button. The plugin’s stylesheet and script are loaded only when a button was actually rendered on the page.
The modal’s background and text colours use your theme’s Base and Contrast colour presets, so it blends in with the theme without any CSS.
Classic themes#
On classic themes (Storefront, Astra, OceanWP, GeneratePress and the like), the button is added by WooCommerce’s loop add to cart template. The plugin loads its stylesheet in the page head on the shop, category, tag and product pages, and on any page or post that contains a products shortcode or product block, so the button is styled before the page paints and does not shift the layout.
Themes with custom product loops#
Some themes and page builders print their own add to cart buttons instead of using WooCommerce’s loop template. On those listings the button does not appear, because the hook the plugin uses is never called. See Common Issues for how to tell, and ask your theme author whether their loop calls woocommerce_template_loop_add_to_cart() or the woocommerce_loop_add_to_cart_link filter.
