Common Issues
The Conditional Display panel does not appear#
Symptom: You select a Section Blocks block but there is no “Conditional Display (Pro)” panel in the sidebar.
Cause: Pro is not fully active. The panel is only loaded when the license is valid and the free plugin is 1.3.0 or newer.
- Go to Plugins and check that both Section Blocks (1.3.0+) and Section Blocks Pro are active.
- Look for a yellow notice on the Dashboard or Plugins screen. It tells you whether the free plugin is too old or the license is missing.
- Go to Settings → Section Blocks Pro and confirm the status is Active. If not, activate the key.
- Reload the editor. The panel is collapsed by default; scroll down the block’s settings and expand it.
- Make sure you selected a Section Blocks block, not a core block or a block from another plugin.
Licence activation fails#
Symptom: Clicking Activate License shows an error such as “License key not found” or “Could not verify your license”.
Cause: Wrong key, no activations left, or the site cannot reach technoleet.dev.
- Copy the key again from License keys at technoleet.dev and paste it without spaces.
- Check the activation count on the License keys page. If the plan is full, deactivate a site you no longer use or upgrade the plan.
- Ask your host whether outbound HTTPS requests to
technoleet.devare allowed. Try again when the connection is confirmed. - If the screen says licensing is not configured on this build, you are running a development build; download the release zip from your account and reinstall.
A members-only block is visible to everyone#
Symptom: A block set to “Logged-in users” shows to guests, or a logged-out block shows to members.
Cause: Almost always a full-page cache serving one version to everyone.
- Open the page in a private window and reload with a cache-busting query string, for example
?nocache=1. If the block behaves correctly now, the cache is the issue. - In your caching plugin, enable the option that bypasses the cache for logged-in users (names vary: “Do not cache pages for logged-in users”, “Separate cache for logged-in users”).
- Clear the cache.
- If you use a CDN with HTML caching, configure it to bypass requests that carry WordPress login cookies.
A scheduled block appears late or does not disappear on time#
Symptom: A block with “Show from” or “Show until” changes state hours after the set time.
Cause: Either the site time zone is not what you expect, or a cached copy of the page is being served.
- Check Settings → General → Timezone and compare it with the time you entered.
- Clear your page cache after the scheduled time, or set a shorter cache lifetime for that page.
- Edit the block and confirm both date fields are filled in as intended and that “Show until” is after “Show from”.
The mobile-only block shows on a tablet (or the desktop block shows on a phone)#
Symptom: The device rule does not match the device you expected.
Cause: The rule is based on viewport width, not on the device type. Tablets in portrait are usually 768px or wider, so they count as “desktop and tablet”.
- Measure the viewport width you are testing with (browser developer tools show it).
- Remember that 768px and up is “desktop and tablet”. Use the free plugin’s Responsive Visibility toggles if you need a separate tablet rule.
Pro updates do not appear#
Symptom: A new Pro version is announced but Dashboard → Updates does not list it.
Cause: Updates are served from technoleet.dev only while the license is valid; also, a Pro update is held back until the free plugin meets the required version.
- Go to Settings → Section Blocks Pro and confirm the license is active and not expired.
- Update the free Section Blocks plugin to the latest version.
- Go to Dashboard → Updates and click Check again.
