FAQ

Where do I get a license key?#

Buy Leet Order Tracking at technoleet.dev/product/leet-order-tracking. The key is shown after checkout and under License keys in your account dashboard.

How do updates work?#

While your license is active, updates appear in WordPress exactly like any other plugin update and are downloaded from technoleet.dev. When the license expires the installed version keeps working, but no further updates are offered until you renew.

Can I use one key on a staging site?#

Yes. The license can be activated on local and staging sites as well as production. Each activation counts towards the number of sites in your plan, so deactivate the key under WooCommerce → Order Tracking License before you retire a site.

Which shortcode should I use?#

Use [leet_order_tracking]. The older [order_tracking] tag still works when no other plugin or theme has registered it.

Can I prefill an order number?#

Yes: [leet_order_tracking track_value="123"]. The prefilled order is only shown to logged-in users who can manage orders or who placed that order; everyone else sees the empty form.

Do customers need an account?#

No. Any visitor can look up an order with its number and the billing email used at checkout.

Under WooCommerce → Order Tracking → Carrier tracking links, list one carrier per line as Name | https://carrier.example/track?no={tracking_number}. When an order’s carrier matches a listed name, that template is used; otherwise the generic template (which also supports {carrier}) is used. Leave the generic template empty to show the tracking number without a link.

I already store tracking numbers with another plugin. Can I reuse them?#

Yes. A developer can use the leet_ot_tracking_info filter to return number, carrier and url from your own source; the tracking card renders whatever it receives. See the Developer reference.

Does the plugin email customers when I add a tracking number?#

No. It only shows the tracking link on the tracking page. Mention the page in your WooCommerce order emails if you want customers to know about it.

Does it work with HPOS (High-Performance Order Storage)?#

Yes. The plugin declares HPOS compatibility and saves the tracking number and carrier through the WooCommerce order API, so they work with both storage modes.

Does it work with custom order statuses?#

Yes. Every status registered on your store appears in the Status remarks and ETA table, so you can give each one a label, remark and ETA.

What customer data does the result show?#

Only data for the verified order, limited to the fields you enable. The phone number is always masked. Nothing is stored by the plugin except a short-lived, hashed counter of failed lookups used for rate limiting.

What is removed when I uninstall?#

Deleting the plugin from the Plugins screen removes the settings option and the failed-lookup counters. Tracking numbers and carriers saved on orders are kept, because they are your order data, not plugin state. Deactivating the plugin removes nothing.
