Facts and publishing
Facts are grouped as returns, shipping, payment, contact, company, brand, warranty and FAQ. CiteCart seeds suggestions from your WooCommerce settings: address, email, currency, shipping zones and costs, the free-shipping threshold and the refund page. Use Refresh suggestions from WooCommerce settings to re-seed.
With an AI provider connected, Extract from policy pages (AI) reads your returns and shipping pages and suggests facts, quoting the evidence.
Suggestions stay private until you publish them. You can publish or unpublish a single fact, or use Publish all in category to publish the suggested facts in a category (unpublished facts are not touched), and add your own.
Only published facts reach your structured data, AI agents and the public facts endpoint.
Where published facts appear#
- Product structured data:
brand, andhasMerchantReturnPolicyandshippingDetailson each offer, added through WooCommerce’s product schema filter. Existing values are never overwritten. - Organization structured data: an OnlineStore node on the front page with your return policy and contact. It is skipped when Yoast, Rank Math or All in One SEO already outputs an Organization.
- REST:
GET /wp-json/citecart/v1/factsreturns published facts only. - Ability:
citecart/get-store-facts(see Connect AI agents). - Filter:
citecart_published_factslets other plugins use the facts.
When Yoast, Rank Math or All in One SEO replaces WooCommerce’s product schema, CiteCart’s product-schema enrichment applies only where WooCommerce’s own markup is used. Your published facts remain available through REST and the ability. Integration with SEO plugins is planned.
