Common Issues
The schema check says “not checked”#
Cause: your site could not fetch its own product pages (a loopback block, a firewall or HTTP authentication).
- Allow your server to request your own site URL.
- Run the scan again.
AI fixes show “Connect a provider”#
Cause: no AI provider is connected, or AI is turned off.
- Go to Settings > Connectors in WordPress.
- Add a provider and its key.
- Return to CiteCart and try again.
A fix shows as stale#
Cause: the field changed after the fix was proposed.
- Open the product and check the current value.
- Propose the fix again if you still want it.
Rollback shows a conflict#
Cause: you edited the field after the batch was applied. CiteCart leaves your edit in place.
- Check the current value on the product.
- Use Force rollback only if you want the earlier value back.
AI traffic is zero#
Cause: counting starts at activation, and the figures are indicative.
- Check Track AI traffic attribution is on in Settings.
- Check for ad blockers if you test from a browser.
- Behind a CDN or proxy, set the
citecart_client_ipfilter.
Confirm each fix against your own setup. A caching or security plugin that blocks REST requests will also block the beacon at /wp-json/citecart/v1/hit.
