Installation

Editor Readiness Scanner is sold through technoleet.dev, so it is not in the WordPress.org plugin directory. You install it from the zip file in your account.

Install from the dashboard#

  1. Log in to your technoleet.dev account and download editor-readiness-scanner.zip.
  2. In wp-admin go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin.
  3. Choose the zip file and click Install Now.
  4. Click Activate.
  5. Activate your license under Tools → Editor Readiness License (see License).

Install by upload (FTP or SSH)#

  1. Unzip editor-readiness-scanner.zip on your computer. You get a folder called editor-readiness-scanner.
  2. Upload that folder to wp-content/plugins/ on your server.
  3. In wp-admin go to Plugins and click Activate under Editor Readiness Scanner.
  4. Activate your license under Tools → Editor Readiness License.

What activation does#

On activation the plugin creates one database table, {prefix}_ers_findings, to hold scan findings. Nothing else on the site changes. Two new entries appear under Tools: Editor Readiness (the scanner) and Editor Readiness License.

Updating#

Updates are delivered from technoleet.dev, not from WordPress.org. While your license is active, new versions show up on Dashboard → Updates and on the Plugins screen like any other plugin, and you update with one click. The plugin’s Update URI header is set to technoleet.dev, so WordPress never asks WordPress.org for updates under this slug.

Uninstalling#

Deactivate and delete the plugin from Plugins. Deleting it drops the ers_findings table, removes every ers_* option (scan history, runtime inventories, the white-label setting) and clears any queued background scan chunk. On multisite this runs for every site.
